The Founder

Nnakubulwa Hamidah
The Founder of EMF
Edward Musonera Foundation (EMF) was born from my journey of overcoming hardship, abuse, and teen motherhood.
I know first hand what it means to feelvoiceless and vulnerable. This journey is not unique to me, but to many children, youth and teen mothers in Rwanda.
Today, 1,000+ children live on Rwanda’s street —63.6% aged 14-18, vulnerable to exploitation and neglect.
Although the government provides free education, 86.8% do not take advantage of this opportunity due to factors such as family instability, substance abuse, and rebellious behavior.
As a result, many are driven into survival crimes, ultimately leading them into Rwanda’s juvenile justice system.
This group of people are not just statistics —they are individuals with dreams and God-given potential. EMF exists to restore their dignity, hope, and purpose.
Through faith, education, and community empowerment, we are breaking cycles of poverty and building a generation of resilient, purpose-driven leaders.
This is not just our mission. It’s our calling.
